By Car

Leave Panama City by either the Bridge of the Americas or the Centennial Bridge, follow the Interamericana Highway 10-15 minutes past Coronado. Several signs will indicate "El Valle". Turn Right where the arrows indicate. Follow the windy road up the mountain then down into the crater.

By Bus

Go to the Grand Bus Terminal at Albrook Mall and find the ticket window for El Valle de Anton. Be careful not to accidentally buy a ticket from the "Anton" ticket window, since these buses will not arrive in the Valley. The cost is $3.50 per person. Buses depart every half hour, approximately. The trip takes about 2-2.5 hours depending on traffic. Most of the trip is along the Interamericana Highway, with the last 28 km/45 miles heading into the mountain region. The first bus departs Panama City at around 7:00 a.m. and the last bus departing El Valle to Panama City departs at around 4:00p.m.

The San Carlos-El Valle bus offers service until 6:00pm or 7:00pm. For $1.00 it will transport you from El Valle to the Interamericana Highway, where you can get on any bus en route to Panama City.

By Helicopter

Depart Albrook Airport or your private launch pad. Head towards the geographic center of Panama. When you see the 6km-wide crater, begin descent.
